An online Google for education webinar was held last September 29, 2022, for teachers and staff of the Berlin Brandenburg International School by AppsEvents, a global Google for Education Partner, in partnership with Acer for Education. A total of 32 educators attended the workshop led by highly acclaimed Google Certified Trainers and ISTE Certified Trainers Bogdan Copil and Wendy Peskett.
This session introduces the SAMR model, looking at how we can better integrate technology in our day to day practice.
We then move to Google Drive, exploring various ways of collaboration – both real time (synchronous) and asynchronous. We are going to explore tips and tricks to help you better structure your assignments in the Google environment, and to avoid some of the common pitfalls teachers might encounter.
We will also look into the explore tool, and some of the advantages it provides for research projects and for streamlining our workflow.
The workshop was delivered using Google Meet and Google Classroom for real-time communication and collaboration. All attendees are given exam vouchers for free after the series of training to officially attain the Google Educator Level 1 status.
