AppsEDU is a different kind of organization. We are a small but global team all of whom have a background working in and with schools. We focus completely on the cloud needs of international schools.

We are deeply committed to building the international school tech director community and run regular meetups and training events at Google offices worldwide.

We refer to the schools we work with as ‘partner schools’ not customers, and this is more than just words. We go over and above to assist all schools with anything Google, cloud or cybersecurity related.

We host and organize the largest free community of international school tech directors (apply to join here if you haven’t already :)). We host the most listened to international schools podcast with John Mikton, and our YouTube channel of Google admin advice and tips has cover 10k subscribers.

AppsEDU has a close relationship with the Google team. Google contacts AppsEDU to run several ongoing technical projects and represent Google at trade shows.

Meet the Team

AppsEDU consists of a core team which works remotely across the world. A number of world class trainers with a history of innovation in the classroom make up the rest of the team at Google for Education summits, bootcamps and cloud camps. Dan Taylor

Director

Dan has been involved in the Google for Education community since 2006. He has trained educators across the globe from El Salvador to Vietnam.

James Sayer

Asia, LATAM, and Middle East Director

Aside from managing events in Asia, James is the Head of Mathematics and IT Coordinator for Patumwan Demonstration School’s international program in Bangkok.

Katarina Lockley

Account Manager

Katarina looks after the schools in Asia, Middle East and Europe. She’s a Google Educator and holds a masters degree in Economics.

Peter Horner

Google Technical Expert

Peter is a Google Certified Trainer and Innovator and has experience working in education as an IT Manager, where he was responsible for the ongoing development and use of EdTech. He has a masters degree in Information Technology.

Charlie Love

Google Admin Expert

Charlie is an educator, author, developer and technical/admin leader. He has worked with the Scottish, UK and Singapore Governments on Education Technology and Computing Science projects. He supports schools globally with Google Workspace and Chromebook deployments with a focus on effective technical administration and cloud adoption.

Information Technology professional and CISSP-certified cybersecurity specialist with over 15 years’ experience leading IT operations.

Bogdan Copil

Head of Professional Development

Bogdan is passionate about science, gamification and IT integration. Working smarter is the way to go – this is his motto! He is a big fan of self-directed learning and hands-on activities.

Veronika manages logistics for events worldwide as well as mainland European events. She holds a masters degree in Economics.
