Asynchronous Google Educator Certification Bootcamps

AppsEvents Google Educator Level 1 and Level 2 certification-preparation courses now being offered as asynchronous online course.

AppsEvents is a designated Google for Education PD Partner with an Education Specialization. We have led thousands of educators through our certification-preparation courses.

Schools can opt for a single rate to host an AppsEvents Bootcamp for district staff only or a per person rate. For either option, the first step is to inquire with your local AppsEvents director to schedule an initial meeting to develop a custom proposal.

Certification Bootcamps with AppsEvents are uniquely designed to prepare you to take the Google Level 1 and Level 2 Certification exam. Each session includes instruction, workshop time, and activities that inspire confidence in both the application and the ability to pass the exam.

Google Educator Level 1

Focused on building the foundation when it comes to teaching using technology and the Google Workspace. It focuses on the core Google Apps (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, Sites, Gmail, Calendar, Groups, and YouTube).

Registration includes a voucher for the Level 1 exam.

Google Educator Level 2

Focused on a deeper dive into using the Google products from level 1, plus introducing other ones (e.g. Google Earth, My Maps, Blogger etc.). It also has a big focus on digitizing classroom activities.

In order to get certified, teachers need to pass an online exam organized by Google.

Registration includes a voucher for the Level 2 exam.

Focused on Pedagogy

While the training sessions are based on the curriculum for the Google Educator Level 1 and 2 exams leading to certification, the main focus is on supporting teachers on the appropriate use of the tools. As such, besides the technical training (how-to’s), there is a strong focus on the pedagogy behind teaching with technology with hands-on activities and scenarios.

One-year Unlimited Access

The online courses can be customized for your School (the course participants will feel like it is for their environment). Courses will contain a mix of video, text, custom hands-on activities, scenarios and quizzes.

Course access will be provided for one year from publication, it is expected that learners will complete the courses and sit the exams within 8 weeks, however, the courses will remain active for one year. A community will be enabled for the learners within the course platform to ask questions and share ideas, this will be staffed by AppsEvents trainers.
