Early Bird Pricing for Italy Summit Ending Soon and Other Updates

Just a quick reminder that our early bird promo for the upcoming AppsEvents Italy Summit featuring Google Apps for Education will be ending soon.

The Summit will be an exciting two day event taking place at the Instituto Massimo on Friday, November 7 until Saturday, November 8, 2014. We have some truly world-class speakers to join us this year and have prepared fantastic sessions focused on helping teachers and educators like you to get the most out of the Google Apps for Education suite.

Here are some of the sessions you might be interested in and to give you ideas on what you can expect in the Italy summit:

Intro to Google Apps for Educators with Rowland Baker (Basic)
This hands-on session will cover the power of Google Apps in schools, focusing on Docs (documents) and Slides (presentations), highlighting the tools of collaboration, research and sharing in a fun and creative way.

Google Classroom with Ben Rouse (Basic to Intermediate)

Interactive session with Google Classroom where delegates get the chance to use Google Classroom as a student and then begin planning for how they want to use it as a teacher with their own classes. Ideal for Google Apps teachers who have not yet started using Google Classroom.

Google Apps in the Elementary with Carrie Zimmer (Basic to Intermediate)

Searching for sessions with an elementary focus? Then this one’s for you! In this session, hear how the elementary students and teachers of the American School of Milan are using Google Apps in their classrooms, including ePortfolios, collaboration, connecting with others around the world and much more. It’s going to be a collaborative session with you sharing your ideas and experiences as well.

Pimp Your Pedagogy with Super Quiz Add On with Ben Rouse (Intermediate to Advance)

Create a quiz and get detailed analysis with which to plan and differentiate for your class. This new add on is best for a whole faculty teaching a topic to a number of classes. The add on allows you to automate personalised feedback to every student in addition to being able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each class.

Google Apps Admins ~ Getting Started Behind the Scenes with Sarah Woods (Intermediate)

This session will get first time administrators started on exploring the “behind the scenes” of Google Apps. Topics covered include:

  • How to access the Administration control panel
  • How to add, remove and administer users
  • Adding and removing Google Apps
  • Adding and removing third party Apps from the ‘Google Apps Marketplace’
  • Important settings to consider
See complete session line-up here. Italian sessions are also available!
