Section Layouts Now Available in New Google Sites

Six pre-built section layout options are now available in the new Google Sites. This update makes it even easier to create beautiful and professional looking web pages.

To start using them, find them in the right-hand sidebar under the INSERT tab. Choose the layout you want to use then simply click or drag the layout onto the page. Doing so will add a new section on the page you are currently working on. Customize the content to make it your own.
