Keynote Speaker
Dr. John Bailey is a former volcanologist and university professor, turned Googler. After almost two decades in academia John decided he needed a new challenge and accepted an offer to move from Alaska to California and join the Google Earth Outreach team as a Program Manager for Geo Education. His goal to teach knowledge, understanding and stewardship of the planet we live on through the use of Google Earth, Street View and other innovative technologies. John has a passion for travel and exploring new places having visited every continent and 50+ countries, and has lived on three different continents.
Aside from opening keynote, John will also be leading a series of one-hour hands-on sessions on Google Earth, Maps, and Google Street View. Check out his schedule here.
